After his controversial feud with the mother of his child and former partner, Andi Eigenmann, the son of incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, Jake Ejercito, has become the talk of the town yet again. His name started making waves on social media when he posted an Instagram photo of an unknown woman whom people suspect is Dubsmash Queen, Maine Mendoza.
The latter’s fans are speculating that the two are currently seeing each other despite the fact that she is partnered with fellow Kapuso star, Alden Richards. Apparently, the AlDub nation made a ruckus on the internet because of the Instagram story that Jake uploaded a few days ago. It was a simple black and white picture of a girl covering her face. From the image, the watch she was wearing looked similar to Maine’s Omega cappuccino watch and because of this, the die-hard fans concluded it was indeed her.
Maine already denied the issue when a fan asked about her relationship with Jake. The netizen said:
“Ano ba kayo ni @unoemilio? Ang sakit sakit na kasi!”
The “Phenomenal Star” replied by saying that she and Jake are just friends.
“Huh? We are friends! May mali po ba doon?”
Maine added that she hopes her fans understand that she too, has a life outside of her on-screen partnership with Alden Richards.
Fortunately, Jake was able to clear the issue as well. According to Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP, Jake denied the fans’ speculations. In a text message, he said:
“No comment na lang muna ako.”
Jake was also asked if he was dating the Eat Bulaga! star and he denied it once again.
“Hindi rin, hahaha.”
Maine and Jake first met each other after co-starring in the Kalyeserye segment of Eat Bulaga. This was the very first issue that involved the names of the two celebs.
